Oh, hey! That's Keeley!!!
About Me
My name is Keeley Curtis, occasionally known as Keeley Curtis-Verdeja, and when writing music, I can be found as La Máquina Porcelana. I write films to empower women through stories of music, immigration, and so much more. My songwriting varies within styles, ranging from English acoustic songs about a teenage heartbreak, all the way to a Romanian song from the point-of-view of a woman in her 40s having a midlife crisis. I write music predominantly in Spanish and quite rarely English, though I do write in all 5 romance languages. My current project, "Casino Miel" (TBD) is an album solely written in those 5 tongues. My photography style is almost always outdoors, though it can range from portraits to soccer finals. Oh, and did I mention that I'm also a drummer?
My life is very chaotic and I like to document it as best as possible. I want my funeral to be a fun event that spans several days where people just talk about the artistic person I was, and this portfolio is perhaps another insight into such.
Although I consider Dallas my home, I am actually from Springfield, Missouri, but we won't talk about that... yet... I'm currently enrolled at UTD (Go Comets!) and am working as a tour guide, though I spend my best moments with my studious sisters at Sigma Lambda Alpha Sorority Inc.
If I'm not in my room writing a song or learning a new language, if you can't find me taking photos of the pond outside, if you can't find me in a recording studio or crocheting in my room, I'm probably dead - please find me.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
